What We Do…
We are mostly focused, at present, on the projects described by this webpage. At present I work for a local FFRDC supporting space related endeavors…
Embedded Design Projects – We’re currently designing and building a distributed automotive DC power distribution and management system. I’m mostly flabbergasted by the ridiculous cost of controlling a few relays with remotely mounted switches. There is a serious lack of Open Source hardware addressing the RV and expedition vehicle niche. I aim to change this. I have a good deal of experience with embedded hardware/software development, and I’m finding the automotive environment to be interesting.
FPGA Development – I have a moderately deep experience base with development of FPGA based hardware/firmware. I’m fluent in both Verilog and VHDL. My immediate focus is on building background in VHDL formal verification, and on building out a formally verified SDR framework in VHDL.
Signal Processing/Communication System Development – We’ll work with you the entire way, from wireframes to walking you through live code previews.
Satellite System Engineering – Yep… Space…
RF System/Antenna Design – I’ve got fairly deep experience with RF system design from about 250 MHz to upwards of 50 GHz. Patch antennas… Phased array antennas… Transceivers of various types…
